Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has been voted 'Best Airport in Europe 2008", by leading British magazine Business Traveller. The other nominees were the airports Munich, Zurich and Copenhagen.
The British market is the most important market for Schiphol after the home market the Netherlands. During the first half of 2008 alone, more than 1.8 million British passengers arrived at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. Half of these passengers arriving at Schiphol disembarked, while the other half transferred to another flight.
